During the Decade of Pentecost, the Acts in Africa Initiative is conducting Acts 1:8 Conferences across the continent. Below you will find a schedule of these and other Decade of Pentecost events.
Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…to the end of the earth” – Jesus
An Acts 1:8 Conference, as its name implies, is a strategic missions mobilization conference aimed at helping national Assemblies of God churches in Africa mobilizes for Spirit-empowered evangelism, church planting and missions.
In a conference pastors and leaders gather for six days of intensive prayer and preparation to more effectively advance the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Four key elements of an Acts 1:8 Conference are
- Intercessory prayer for the nations
- Training in Pentecostal missions
- Strategizing to reach the lost in the power of the Holy Spirit
- Personally experiencing the power and presence of the Holy Spirit
